MU is nothingness or absolute reality without reflection or filter.
It is a duo project in which Andreas Bennetzen on loop bass and Gregers Kirkegaard on VST midi-guitar experiment with an intuitive electronic clang universe based on ECM jazz cross-over with classical, where the musical themes are improvised and expose the moment’s inner landscapes.
The project emerged from a common interest in the experimental, and started with an invitation from Gregers Kirkegaard to Purple Strings in 2006 to participate in “Glassets Alkymi”, an electronic sound painting with inlaid compositions, which was the musical element in an interactive sculpture/video/sound installation at Holmegaard Glass Works. The two musicians interact with four video streams of various lengths and thereby constantly create new combinations between them and with the music.
