Ensembles and bands
At present, in addition to the large symphony orchestras, I play with the following ensembles and bands:
My wife, violinist Hélianne Blais, and I have founded Purple Strings, where we collect our many years’ experience with both classical and rhythmic music. We collaborate with well-known Danish artists in studio recordings and perform and organize concerts.
I have played with Poeten og Lillebror for several years, performing spoken-word or music-and-poetry. We are one of Denmark’s most popular bands in this genre and have performed twice at Roskilde Festival.
I am a partner in Salem, a Danish band of international quality and high ambitions. We have recently been on a concert tour in London, and we play about 10 concerts a year in Denmark.
On the classical side, I play in the Hafnia Kammerorkester.
Electronic musician and composer, Bjørn Svin, and I founded in 2003 Ensemble Clash, where we focus on modern classical music and compose works crossing classical with electronic music.
Poetry and double bass meet in Walki Talki, where I work together with Alan Hammerlund. I am Walki and he is Talki, and sometimes the reverse.
MU is a duo-project where I play the loop bass and Gregers Kirkegaard plays the VST midi-guitar, and we experiment with an electronic sound universe. We released the cd, Impressions, in 2007.
